Categories and terms used:
Except where indicated, all data presented in the graphs follow the categories and terms originally used in the School Census and Higher Education Census.
The data presented here was gathered from the School and Higher Education Censuses. It is possible that some numbers look different to local reality. This can happen, for instance, as a result of outdated teacher information from the institutions that submit the Census data, or because of methodological Census reasons, amongst others. This possibility does not reduce the importance of the data, after all, they are resources that allow us to draw overviews of daily school life using the same analysis criteria for the entire country and, therefore, help to support educational policies and pedagogical activities. Other types of research must be taken into account for more specific analyses. For a synthesis of the analysis and methodological information, access the Executive Summary.
